Beckford’s Tower and Museum

Highly skilled staff and volunteers ensure visitors to Beckford's Tower and Museum learn a great deal about the life and work of William Beckford, alongside important and sensitive themes including how his wealth was based on the ownership of enslaved people in Jamaica. The learning programme is based on robust research and is continuing to develop in partnership with diverse groups across the community. A chance to climb Beckford's Tower for unrivalled views of Bath and to explore the recently reinterpreted museum and grounds provides visitors with a memorable learning experience that is both very engaging and thought provoking.
