Stafford Castle

Stafford Castle provides an excellent hands-on experience for learners, where they can become Norman knights and storm the castle, handle shields, swords and helmets, mint a coin and try on chain mail. The activities delivered are exciting, interactive and informative and make excellent use of the site and its history. The visitor centre is thoughtfully designed to resemble a wooden castle and includes a range of high quality replicas to provide a memorable learning experience. The castle keep provides a first-hand opportunity for learners to properly experience and understand a castle layout and find out how they were designed and built. The castle education team are very knowledgeable and deliver informative and lively sessions, which are very much enjoyed by learners taking part.
