The Ancient High House is a magnificent Tudor building which, both inside and out, cannot fail to impress its visitors. Thorough research of a variety of sources of historical evidence underpins the heritage learning programme which, by incorporating consultation with teachers and others, enables its enthusiastic and dedicated staff to offer interesting and varied tours to school groups and home educators. During the sessions the children have the opportunity to explore every part of the house and their attention is held throughout by experienced guides who interpret and explain the historical significance of people and events in an enjoyable and engaging way.
