The London Archives
The London Archives has high ambitions to be a dynamic, relevant, accessible and welcoming service. It holds inspiring documents from contemporary accounts of the Great Fire of London to oral histories of Londoners in the 20th century. In the recent past it has undergone substantial transformation, with new learning programmes. These are showing significant success in a relatively short period of time, thanks to the consultative process of their creation, plus the knowledge and dedication of the learning team. The new document pod is a fantastic addition; it enables groups to access original documents in part of the research area alongside adult researchers. The refurbished learning studio and lunchroom are well thought-through spaces. Staff provide support throughout a visit to ensure memorable, enjoyable learning experiences.
